Loved all the food I ordered: duck breast, veggies roll, tempura, mushroom skewer, bacon mochi skewer. Only dud was the sunumono, which was uninspired. Fast service, fair prices, lovely presentation.

We had our meal delivered to our hotel room so this only speaks to the food. The quite good: Mixed tempura - crisp and not greasy. Loved the kubocha squash! Pork belly, mochi bacon and shitake skewers - very good! This is the first time I've loved mochi. Tapas style duck - cooked perfectly, the mustard seeds on the top added a perfect hit of acidity Four leaf roll - we weren't sure about this bc we've never seen tomato as a roll topper, but it was great. Will definitely order again The only disappointment was the sunomono. The shrimp and tako were good, but the cucumber was completely unseasoned. Like, nothing. Don't know if this is their style or if someone forgot to add seasonings, but it wasn't to our taste. The serving sizes were as expected and the meal didn't seem at all overpriced.

Pacifica isn't known for it's restaurants and eateries, so a solid Japanese spot like Uoyakutei is very welcome! The restaurant is located right off Highway 1 Southbound at Rockaway Beach, which is a great little area to walk around in. There are coastline views, a handful of local shops to pop into, and the Mori Point hiking trail if you want to get in a few thousand steps. Parking is available at all times throughout Rockaway Beach, making access to the restaurant easy even during peak hours. Uoyakutei itself has a good variety of classic Japanese dishes. You'll find sushi, ramen, skewers, specialty meats and fish, bento boxes, all manners of rice and vegetables, and beer/sake all on the menu. On my trip there, I tried the Gyu Skewers, Chicken Karage, and Chicken Teriyaki dinner plate. All of them were amazing! Particularly the Gyu skewers. I don't know what the chefs season the meat with, but it's tender, juicy, and so very tasty. At $4 per plate, with 2 skewers per plate, they're a very good deal and probably the best thing at restaurant. The restaurant has a decent amount of table seating, as well as a sushi bar for single diners who wish to pop in and out and get something quick. Service is also very good all around. While the hosts can sometimes get busy checking people in and getting them to their tables, the sushi chefs and servers are all very welcoming and warm. It's a great experience beyond the food, and the food's quality just makes it an even better local spot. Highly recommend if you're passing through Pacifica and need your fix of Asian food!

I give four stars because I have only tried a small portion of their menu. I come for the sashimi. The chef's favorite 7 piece is my go-to. I pair it with garlic edamame. They go well together. The balance with the hot sake makes it a complete meal, and then topped off with the green tea ice cream. A full four course meal, well priced. It's one of the best sushi places in Pacifica, conveniently located off HWY 1. Come alone, or with friends or with kids - there's something for everyone. Good space.

Such a great find. The outside lacks a little luster but there is reasonable parking. Inside is a spacious area with four tops and two tops that could easily be squeezed together for a bigger group. The food was delicious. The menu had signature rolls like the toro bomb which was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, sociable and made recommendations. We enjoyed the food and look forward to coming back.

We have been in Pacifica for 3+ years and never came here. The service is great! The food was very good and very creative. Loved that they have a great veggie option menu. My mom who is Japanese said the Chu toro and Negó toro rolls were excellent!! Will absolutely make this a regular spot from now on. Don't judge a place by its exterior. We were pleasantly surprised!!

It's located at the end of the street with parking right in front. The inside is very nice and welcoming. Our server was quick with bringing water which was nice. The prices per roll looked good but keep in mind, they are much smaller than what I expected. We didn't get full with what we normally order. I had to order a second round because it wasn't enough. Overall it was good.
